With their 3-2 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs have won five straight road games.  This is the first time they have accomplished this since the 2010-11 season.   They also swept back-to-back games in Florida, over the Panthers and Lightning, for the first time since November of 2009.

The Leafs certainly made things interesting as they needed extra time after jumping out to a 2-0 lead in each of the two games.  Wednesday night at the Panthers, Mitch Marner went five-hole on Roberto Luongo to give the Leafs their first shootout win of the season in six attempts.

Thursday night the Leafs got goals from Auston Matthews and Tyler Bozak in the first half of the game before heading to overtime after Brian Boyle and Ondrej Palat scored for the Lightning.  The Leafs went on a power play midway through overtime and that is when Nazem Kadri struck for the game winner.

William Nylander threw the puck towards the net where Kadri was waiting to stuff home the rebound and grab the extra point!
