The current Toronto Maple Leafs roster received a big surprise when they showed up to BMO Field.  They thought they were just showing up to practice ahead of tomorrow’s Centennial Classic, but they had some special locker mates.

When they got off the ice, they had a big surprise waiting for them in the locker room as the Maple Leafs alumni roster was waiting for them.  Auston Matthews shared a stall with Wendel Clark and Morgan Rielly was next to Borje Salming.

Nobody was having a better time than Toronto area native Mitch Marner.  During his junior career with the London Knights, Marner wore number 93 in honor of his hero Doug Gilmour.  Today he got to share is locker with Gilmour.  Marner was like a kid in the candy store going around the locker room getting a stick autographed by all the former Leafs greats.   Youngsters like Zach Hyman and William Nylander also got their sticks signed.

It wasn’t all fun and games either…

Babs ran his pre-practice video with alumni watching. "I was on the wrong end of a clip," said Connor Brown, "and Darcy Tucker chirped me".
