After Saturday night’s 5-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs will now head to their bye week as they will not play agian until they host the Ottawa Senators on Saturday January 21.

One player who will not be enjoying the week off is goaltender Antoine Bibeau, who was loaned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League Sunday morning.  Jhonas Enroth has been recalled to the Maple Leafs.

This is a good move as the Marlies have two games before the Leafs return to practice on Thursday, including this afternoon.  Getting Bibeau more game time will only help everyone involved.

Bibeau has split his two starts with the Leafs this season, giving up four goals on 55 shots for a .927 save percentage.   He is 7-7-1 with a 2.46 goals against average a .908 save percentage and three shutouts with the Marlies.
