The Toronto Maple Leafs exhibition season is done after one game and they'll focus on their five game series against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

There's one player who likely won't be here next year that's hoping to turn heads during the playoffs.

Defenseman Tyson Barrie is looking to make a huge impression during the playoffs after a pretty disappointing season with the Leafs.

Barrie like some other players struggled to get going with Mike Babcock this year but looked more comfortable with Sheldon Keefe.

Barrie knows he's disappointed and is happy he has a chance to make up for it.

"I'm really glad we're getting a chance to come back and play. I feel like I've got more to offer and it's a good chance for me to show it," Barrie told reporters Thursday, per TSN. "I feel pretty comfortable right now with my game, all things considered. It'll be a bit of a bizarre one to jump right into playoffs after so much time off, but like you said, it's a good opportunity to make up for a bit of an up-and-down season for sure."

Do you think Barrie can step up during the playoffs or have you already given up and moved on from the defenseman?
