The Toronto Maple Leafs made a very interesting move on Friday when they called up goalie Michael Hutchinson from the AHL.
The move sent off alarms across the media and fan base.
At practice, things grew even more interesting as Garret Sparks didn't join his teammates for practice as Frederik Andersen, Justin Woll and Hutchinson were the goalies on the ice.
After practice media members made their way to the Leafs locker room to get some player interviews underway and noticed Garret Sparks locker had been completely cleaned out.
If Sparks had been placed on waivers they announcement would have been made already so it's clear that Sparks has been sent home.
More to come.
Garret Sparks’ stall in the #Leafs practice facility dressing room is gone. Gear is gone. Michael Hutchinson set up next to Andersen now. The plot thickens.
