The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have been heavily attached to free agent Joe Thornton over the last couple of days.
According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, Thornton has had discussions with various Leaf players along with Sheldon Keefe and Dubas about signing with Toronto.
It's apparently Toronto or San Jose and nothing else for Thornton.
In the meantime, Thornton has decided to stay in shape by playing overseas and has signed contract with HC Davos.
Thornton lives in Switzerland during the offseason and and will play there until the NHL season is ready to start.
