The Toronto Maple Leafs currently sit second in the Atlantic Division and look like they won't have any trouble making the playoffs.
What happens when they get to the playoffs nobody knows, everybody knows that anything can happen in the playoffs.
There's a large group of fans and reporters who say the Leafs' will struggle to have any success in the playoffs thanks to their mediocre defensive group.
Former Leafs' general manager Brian Burke is one of those people.
During a recent appearance on the FAN590, Burke said he doesn't like the Leafs D group and they aren't "heavy" enough. Adding that teams play big during playoff time and the current Leafs group simply can't play that type of hockey.
He pointed out that he's not at all bitter about being fired by Toronto and that it's his honest opinion.
What do you think of Burke's comments?
Brian Burke on FAN590 says he doesn’t like the Leafs’ D and doesn’t think they are heavy enough. Says come playoff time, teams play heavier and big, Leafs can’t play that type of game. Added he isn’t saying all this cause he is bitter about being fired by Toronto.
