While the deal seems imminent, William Nylander remains unsigned and the deadline is this weekend December 1st.
Multiple reports have Nylander signing, however action speak louder than words and Nylander remains in Europe.
Even with head coach Mike Babcock giving Nylander praise and talking like he's coming back, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman made a huge statement last night.
Friedman stated that even if Nylander signs this season and plays for the rest fo the year, it will be without a doubt Nylander's last season in Toronto.
Social media went absolutely bananas over Friedman's statement.
What do you think about what the NHL insider had to say?
So @FriedgeHNIC tonight on the broadcast: "The one thing I do believe no matter what happens is that this will be William Nylander's final season as a Maple Leaf." Which is something.
