The Toronto Maple Leafs struggled to pull out the win last night against the Vancouver Canucks and lost in overtime.
We saw an interesting decision by head coach Mike Babcock as he designated Auston Matthews for the penalty when the Leafs were called for Too Many Men.
Babcock also had Matthews skating with the fourth line for a brief period of time.
The observation led some local Vancouver media to speculate there's a riff between Babcock and Matthews which we've heard before in Toronto.
It's not just Matthews though as the whole line has struggled lately with the worst shot differential in the last 8 games on the team.
Kasperi Kapanen says the line has been "mediocre" over the last couple of games and told reporters "Thank god we still have games left before the playoffs.".
Do you think it's time Babcock breaks the line up?
Kasperi Kapanen with an honest assessment of how his line with Auston Matthews and Andreas Johnsson has performed the last few games: "Mediocre." Says there's been a lot of video and some discussion with Mike Babcock. "Thank god we still have games left before the playoffs."
