With the Stanley Cup Finals slowly coming to a close, the 2018 NHL Draft is getting closer and closer.

While the Leafs will have to wait awhile until they finally pick at #25 in the first round of the draft, it'll be very interesting to watch considering it's Kyle Dubas' first draft as the Leafs GM.

The Leafs front office was in Buffalo this past weekend to check out the NHL Draft Combine, and it seems Dubas made a pretty good first impression on the young prospects.

One of the players the Leafs interviewed was 18 year old American forward, Jack Drury.

The young forward who has committed to Harvard University for the 2018-19 season was very impressed with Dubas during their interview session.

“Their new GM was on point. I liked going back and forth with him. He was one of the smarter men I met this week.”

According to Scott Wheeler of The Athletic who Tweeted out the quote, he wasn't the only player to praise Dubas at the combine.
