The Toronto Maple Leafs are battling for their lives tonight as they play Game 7 of their first round matchup against the Boston Bruins.
While general manager Kyle Dubas will be watching his team tonight, he's also watching the developing overseas free agent market.
According to reports, the Leafs are currently going after KHL forward Ilya Mikheyev.
The 24 year old had 23 goals and 22 assists for Omsk Avangard this past season after scoring 19 goals the year before.
According to NHL insider Darren Dreger, the Leafs' aren't the only team chasing Mikheyev as the Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights are also making a push for the winger.
Would you like to see him added to the Leafs' roster?
Accurate. Leafs have been chasing this guy for awhile. As @IgorEronko has previously reported, Vegas in the mix and I believe, Chicago as well. Majority of NHL teams have shown interest. Decision this weekend. https://t.co/RwqAOwWogl
