It's the talk of the town right now and it sounds like things are coming together.

From all accounts defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is done with the St. Louis Blues and will test free agency this offseason.

We've heard reports for weeks that the Toronto Maple Leafs would love to make a push for Pietrangelo and NHL insider Pierre LeBrun labeled the Leafs, Vegas Golden Knights and Calgary Flames as top destinations.

Now it seems Toronto is the spot according to another NHL insider.

TVA Sports' Renaud Lavoie reports that Pietrangelo wants to go home and sign with the Leafs.

"I'm pretty sure he wanted to stay with the Blues but it didn't happen. And it's ok. I mean, it's not easy, but I believe that he wants to go home. And home is Toronto"

Now it's on general manager Kyle Dubas to figure out a way to bring him home!
