Veteran sniper Rick Nash remains a free agent undecided on his future and denied rumors he's set to retire.

Nash has had his fair share of injury issues and is looking to heal up before he makes another NHL push.

TSN's Shawn Simpson has quite the idea.

Simpson said he's feeling that Nash could start skating with the Marlies in the New Year before signing with the Leafs. He would then join the Leafs for the playoff run at the league's minimum.

Nash would definitely present an interesting left wing option for Nazem Kadri on the third line and would give the Leafs even more depth on the Leafs powerplay giving the team two solid units.

What do you think of Nash signing with the Leafs halfway through the season?
