Toronto Maple Leafs head coach made some headlines at practice yesterday.

Forward William Nylander skated onto the ice in a grey jersey reserved for taxi squad guys.

It was revealed after practice that Nylander was late for a team meeting and was being punished so to speak and his status for Tuesday night’s game was in question.

Keefe just spoke to reporters and gave a bit more details on everything.

"The situation really allowed us to have some really good discussions as a team in terms of the accountability to each other."

Keefe added it was disappointing at this point in the season.

"Yeah, of course. It speaks to the level of focus that we need and that's why we responded the way that we did and we don't just brush it aside."

Nylander is expected to play tonight.
