The Toronto Maple Leafs were back on the ice for practice today as they get set to host the Winnipeg Jets for three games straight.

Winnipeg is coming off their brutal 7-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday so they'll definitely have something to prove.

It won't be easy for the Jets though as the Leafs are coming off two straight losses to the Vancouver Canucks themselves.

We saw forward Auston Matthews jump back into the lineup last week and it's clear he's still not 100%, did the Leafs rush him back?

Head coach Sheldon Keefe commented on the Matthews situation after practice today:

"He's dealing with the mental effect of not being 100% himself...[when missing time] you lose your rhythm a little bit. But he's found ways to generate chances and shots."

Matthews has been registering shots since he missed a game but hasn't been able to register a point.

Do you think the Leafs' rushed Matthews back?
