The Toronto Maple Leafs could use some help right now as the playoffs aren't a guaranteed thing.
The Montreal Canadiens have caught fire out of nowhere and are just five points out of third place in the Atlantic Division while Philadelphia and Carolina are both fighting hard for the final Wild Card spot.
One boost the Maple Leafs could eventually get this month is the return of "The Soup Man".
He was originally diagnosed to be out for three months but he actually hit the ice today.
Kristen Shilton of TSN reports that Ilya Mikheyev was on the ice this morning skating with Barb Underhill.
Mikheyev of course suffered a very gruesome injury and had to have emergency surgery after he was cut by a skate blade.
Ilya Mikheyev, who had surgery to repair tendons in his wrist that were severed by a skate blade on Dec. 27, is skating with Barb Underhill this morning ahead of #Leafs practice. First time I've seen him on the ice since that rather gruesome injury occurred.
